The state Department of Community Affairs, which oversees amusement parks in the state, declared the building an “unsafe structure” earlier in the week and said its Amusement Ride Safety Unit has also issued an “order to cease operations.” The DCA said the water park can’t operate again “until all investigations are complete, all relevant third party inspection reports and supporting documentation have been received and reviewed and a determination into the cause of the failure can be assessed.”American Dream also hasn’t returned requests asking for updates.
