American Samoa reports its first case of coronavirus.
The infected traveler flew in last Monday, the first day of newly resumed commercial flights from Honolulu to Pago Pago. The route had been suspended since March 2020.
Officials say the resident was fully vaccinated and had traveled to Hawaii and the U.S. mainland. They say the traveler tested negative for Covid-19 before boarding the flight back to American Samoa.

Italy reports 26 coronavirus deaths on Sunday, 3,838 new casesItaly reported 26 coronavirus-related deaths on Sunday against 51 the day before, the health ministry said, while the daily tally of new infections fell to 3,838 from 4,578.
