BREAKING All SEPTA and Amtrak trains between 30th Street Station and New Jersey are stopped because of a junkyard fire in North Philly.
No injuries have been reported.
"The Philadelphia Department of Public Health is warning residents to avoid the area or try to stay inside. The Health Department has dispatched inspectors to the area to collect air samples to assess air quality and the potential for any threat," officials said in a statement."At this time, no specific hazardous substances have been identified, and the Department is taking this action out of an abundance of caution.
SEPTA trains on the Trenton and West Trenton lines through the area were being delayed as the tracks connecting 30th Street station with New Jersey run directly adjacent to the junkyard.
