Australia's oldest man, Frank Mawer, has died peacefully in his sleep, aged 110. He married his sweetheart Elizabeth in 1939, before they raised six children together and enjoyed more than 70 years of marriage. 9News Read about his life:
Relatives have paid tribute to Australia's oldest man, Frank Mawer, after he died peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, aged 110.Frank Mawer with his son, Brian in June 2022.
When Mawer died he was living in the home of one of his sons, Philip, in Central Tilba, on the NSW south coast. Mawer and his family were well known on the NSW Central Coast where they holidayed every year at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort in Bateau Bay in a tradition lasting more than 60 years.The caravan park even named a street there in Mawer's honour.
