Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell has grilled Premier Gladys Berejiklian on her involvement and knowledge of disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire’s behaviour during their secret relationship.
Ms Berejiklian refused to answer questions asking for clarification of evidence she gave the ICAC inquiry on Monday, referring Mr Clennell to her cross-examination for answers. “Mr Clennell I answered those questions during six hours of public evidence on Monday so I refer you to that,” she said. “Hand on heart, I have done nothing wrong and I refer everybody to my evidence on Monday.
“Why did you not go down to ICAC then or have your lawyer write to ICAC and say ‘I’ve been with this man and I am aware of his land deals’? You are the premier after all,” he asked. "Can I just say that I have been absolutely overly cooperative with ICAC from the outset, all I can say is you cannot disclose any of the proceedings that happen behind closed doors," she said.
