Andrew Forrest’s Fortescue Group has lost yet another executive with the company announcing the “departure” of its chief financial officer for Fortescue Metals, Christine Morris, after just 90 days in the job., upending the management team of Forrest’s cash machine for the second time in a week.Morris reported to Hick in Fortescue’s metal business and started in the role on June 1 when she replaced her predecessor 12-year company veteran Ian Wells, who quit in January.
The shock news came the day after Forrest explained Hick’s departure as part of an inevitable high turnover of senior executives in a company that is reinventing itself.“Have you ever seen a massive company in transition before, in deep transition?” he said.Morris and Hick’s departures add to a growing list of senior executives that have left Fortescue in the past two years.
