NRL immortal Andrew Johns says repeated head knocks during his rugby league career may be a factor in his epilepsy, and reveals he's had his medication dosage upped after two recent seizures.

"I was commentating and all of a sudden something came on in my body, where I went into this trance-like state," Johns said. "I went into this dream, it's hard to describe … like deja vu. You've seen where you've been before. Everything goes quiet. "It hit me and then I've come out of it, just sitting in the comm box, and obviously I didn't say nothing for a while."Later that night I went back to the hotel and straight to bed, which is pretty much a first, and woke up in the morning with two big puncture marks in my tongue.
