Sarah Kelly.Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk, whose governments have agreed to fund the transport and other infrastructure necessary to host the Games, jointly announced the new appointments on Sunday.

Ms Palaszczuk and federal sports minister Richard Colbeck have positions of the committee’s vice-president, along with Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, Mr Coates and Paralympics Australia president Jock O’Callaghan. The other – previously announced – organising committee directors are International Paralympic Committee governing board member Robyn Smith, AOC CEO Matt Carroll, Queensland deputy premier Steven Miles, Redland City mayor Karen Williams, Fairfax MP Ted O’Brien and Olympians Bronte Barratt, Kurt Fearnley, Patrick Johnson, Natalie Cook, Tracy Stockwell and Rebecca Frizelle.
