Former Channel Seven star Andrew O’Keefe is back behind bars after allegedly breaching his strict bail conditions.host and White Ribbon ambassador and chairman will front Waverley Local Court on Thursday after being arrested earlier during the day.Simon Schluter“About 10.40am [on Thursday], officers from the Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended a home at Vaucluse and spoke to the occupant, a 51-year-old man.“The man was refused bail to appear in Waverley Local Court [on Thursday].
“The man allegedly assaulted the woman a second time – punching and kicking her – before she left the unit.”In May, he was granted bail by the NSW Supreme Court to attend a rehabilitation facility near Newcastle. Speaking in 2011, O’Keefe said he was compelled to work with White Ribbon because of the high rates of violence against women.“There are all sorts of very simple ways in which you can demonstrate the change in your own life … You can role model behaviour for your children such as how to engage in disagreements with women without resorting to violence,” he said
