Ramsbottom based Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary manager, Karen Weed, and Sallie Conroy, Rehoming Supervisor for Dogs, were at the Association of Dogs and Cats Homes Conference in Telford, along with other charities.People said it was a stray which had been hanging around and so the Bleakholt’s Sallie Conroy got a scanner and, working with Cats Protection League, Avid Petrac and other organisations, found out the details of the cat from its microchip.
“That cat knew the place to get help,” said Karen. “It was so emotional watching the reunion. We were all in tears!”
