Israeli President Isaac Herzog discusses the horrifying scenes he witnessed during the “worst atrocity” the nation faced since the establishment of the state of Israel.
Mr Herzog sat down with Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan for a wide-ranging interview to discuss Hamas’ barbaric attack on October 7, the rise of anti-Semitism and the backlash over Israel’s bombings in Gaza.
The Israeli President recalled the moment he walked into a home to find the burning bodies of a family tied up together in barbed wire. “In one of the homes there was a pool of blood still drying,” he told Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan. “There were scalps, there was a woman’s scalp with a rake holding it – that’s how atrocious these people were, how villain they are, how crazy, animalistic and barbaric and sadistic they are.”
