Annabel's late husband Mel Coleman was a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing
Tennis champion Annabel Croft is gracing our screens as she takes part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
Annabel's husband, Mel Coleman, died in May at the age of 60 years old. The pair were married for 30 years, tying the knot in 1993 and welcoming three children: two daughters, Amber Rose and Lily, and a son, Charlie. Annabel, now a sports pundit, shared the devastating news of her husband's death at the beginning of the summer. She said in a statement that was released in early June: "My beloved husband Mel passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning after a short battle with cancer. My family and I are completely heartbroken and ask for privacy at this very sad time."
In an interview with The Mirror, she said: “My husband absolutely loved it. He used to call me over if I was cooking, and he was crying watching it. So, I hope he’s watching.” She went on to explain that taking part in the 21st season of the show will be a nice change for her.
