An immigration detainee freed by the NZYQ court ruling has been charged with breaching his visa mandated curfew and failing to maintain his monitoring device.

He is accused of failing to maintain his monitoring device in good working order, contrary to the Migration Act 1958. “The Prime Minister and the ministers need to front up and explain how on earth they've got to this position,” Mr Dutton said. “If they've got nothing to hide, then they should be up front and open with the Australian people,” Mr Dutton said.
