Gusty winds expected again, and with temperatures are not expected to climb out of the 50s, it will be a cool, fall day. Plus, the coldest air of the season could lead to our first frost for some.
The theme today is the gusty wind and cooler than average readings. The storm system over New England continues to lift away, as high pressure builds in from the west, however, winds are still quite breezy today out of the northwest 15-25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph, and the northwest flow around that system keeps highs chilly in the mid-50s. Clouds will mix with sunshine from time to time.
Under mostly clear skies and a light to calm wind, temperatures dive into the 30s. The coldest night so far this season for us. There is a possibility of some areas seeing the first frost of the season. We warm quickly above seasonable averages into the mid 60s. Heading towards midweek, the upper-level ridge strengthens, and highs of 70 degrees or warmer are possible for the next several days. We’ll see plenty of sunshine with clouds mixing in and out at times.
