The Prime Minister and his fiancé are buying a home together on the Central Coast in NSW where Jodie Haydon’s family are from.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is closing in on the purchase of a $4.3 million property described as “clifftop perfection” in the NSW Central Coast.

Property records show the the four bedroom, three bathroom and three carport property in Copacabana was sold in September for an undisclosed price.But 2GB presenter Ben Fordham, who first reported the story, said on air it went for $4.3 million, which is less than the $4.65 million its previous owners bought it for in 2021.

In a statement from the prime minister’s office, a spokeswoman said Albanese and his fiancé Jodie Haydon had been planning to buy a home at the Central Coast for some time. “The prime minister and Jodie are getting married next year and are planning to buy a home together on the Central Coast where Jodie grew up and three generations of her family live,” the spokeswoman said. “When the process is complete it will be declared on the parliamentary register.”

In a statement to Fordham, Albanese said the purchase of the property was about a new chapter with Haydon. “I’m about to get married to Jodie and start a new chapter of our lives.
