Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has defended an internship granted to his son with embattled consultancy giant PwC.
Nathan Albanese had completed an unpaid two-week internship at the firm in June 2021, according to a report by The Australian Financial Review.
Addressing media at the opening of the new CSL headquarters in Melbourne, Mr Albanese was grilled by a reporter over whether his son's internship was appropriate. Mr Littleproud, leader of the National Party, had earlier defended Nathan on Sky News Australia describing him as “well educated and well qualified”.
It comes after revelations earlier this month that Nathan had been granted access to Qantas’ invite-only Chairman’s Lounge.
