Prime Minister Anthony Albanese confirmed to Sky News Australia's Piers Morgan that he would pledge allegiance to the crown despite promising to hold a referendum on a republic in Australia.
The Prime Minister was received by the King in the early hours of Wednesday AEDT morning having touched down in London in an RAAF A330 plane on Tuesday .
The Prime Minister also revealed he will swear the oath of allegiance to the King in an exclusive interview with Sky News Australia's Piers Morgan. The question was posed just days after The Archbishop of Canterbury urged members of the public to"cry out" their support for the new monarch. The coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday with 2,000 guests from all over the world in attendance.
