“This includes the risk of inconsistent outcomes, and the oppression involved in subjecting individuals to repeated investigations.” Alongside this, the NACC said it felt the outcomes of the Royal Commission contained “lessons of great importance for enhancing integrity” for those in the public sector and for upholding the accountability of public officials.

The inquiry into the Robodebt scandal examined a number of aspects, including who was responsible for the scheme, its design and implementation, and why it was created.The Royal Commission released a brief breakdown of its inquiries following the end of public hearings in 2023.
