His mother-in-law made him promise he would never sell the vintage item
A guest on the Antiques Roadshow was shocked when he learnt the value of an item his mother-in-law purchased in the 1908s for just £25. returned for another instalment on Sunday evening at Crystal Palace Park, London.
"I walked into her shed, saw this, opened it, found all the tools, went back, did the DIY and said: 'By the way, I think you've got something quite special in the shed!' And so she said: 'Well, if you want it, you can have it but never sell it!'" Elsewhere on the show, one guest was left completely blown away to discover their family sundial was worth an eye-watering amount.
