A BBC Antiques Roadshow guest has been left 'shaking' and gobsmacked after being told her 50p wine glass was actually a rare 300-year-old treasure worth thousands
An Antiques Roadshow guest was left 'shaking' in disbelief after a wine glass she bought for just 50p turned out to be 300 years old and worth a fortune.
She explained to expert Andy McConnell: “It belongs to my father, he saw it on a bric-a-brac stall, they wanted 10p, my father liked it so gave him 50p." Meanwhile on the BBC's other popular brick-a-brack show, Antiques Road Trip, a damaged elephant that was bought for £8 became one of the most memorable auction sales on after bringing in a staggering profit.
But the stars could have never predicted just how much Charlie would make after he picked up a damaged elephant. After auctioning it off in Buckie, Scotland, the damaged item attracted huge online interest, sending Charlie’s profit skyrocketing.
