Apple users are reliving their pasts, with previously deleted photos reappearing in their device’s photo libraries. The revived photos have been caused by a “rare issue”, according to an Apple spokesperson. The issue caused previously deleted photos that experienced database corruption to reappear in the photo library. “I have four pics from 2010 that keep reappearing as the latest pics uploaded to iCloud,” one user said on social media. “I have deleted them repeatedly.
Apple does not access users’ photos or video and after deletion, media normally stays in the Recently Deleted album for 30 days before being permanently deleted, the Apple spokesperson said. Security concerns for tech giants The data security concerns come after Google settled a lawsuit brought against them over accusations the tech giant of improperly tracking the web-browsing habits of users who thought they were browsing the internet privately.
