Ukrainian Major General Andrii Kovalchuk warned Russia could launch another invasion attempt in February next year. Picture: Sky News The Commander of the southern Operational Command said Ukraine’s military had “prepared reliable defences” in zones where another invasion could be launched. President Putin’s “special military operation” rapidly descended upon Kyiv in the early stages of the war with multiple fronts launched from Belarus.
It comes alongside growing joint military drills between the two countries and adds to concerns that another invasion attempt is imminent. He said around 150,000 were sent to reinforce existing battalions which had suffered significant losses, while the remaining half were sent to training courses for a minimum of three months.
