Man United look set to strengthen their midfield this summer with several of their current players facing uncertain futures at the club

Arsenal are reportedly more serious than Manchester United in the race to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Joao Gomes this summer.

Gomes played the full 90 minutes against England at Wembley Stadium before featuring for a half against Spain three days later. It is understood Mikel Arteta's side are ready to make a move for the Wolves man this summer while United are not yet at a stage to sign off on an offer. Elsewhere, BILD reports that Erik ten Hag could be about to receive a hammer blow in his pursuit of RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Dani Olmo. Chelsea, United and Tottenham Hotspur are all thought to be keen on the 25-year-old but it is believed that Olmo has his heart set on a transfer to Manchester City. Bernardo Silva has been linked with the exit door at the Etihad Stadium and should he leave this summer, Pep Guardiola is thought to have his eye on the Leipzig man.
