An arson attack at a former cannabis farm is being investigated after fire crews battled the blaze

Firefighters were called to a house fire in Leeds in the early hours of Wednesday morning after an arson attack.

The fire took place at an unoccupied property in Cowper Mount, Harehills and police say the incident is being investigated as arson. Enquiries are ongoing and crime scene investigators were at the home during Wednesday daytime. on Wednesday morning. A cannabis farm had been set up in the property previously but was cleared in February.Police say there was no evidence of the property being used for growing cannabis at the time leading up to the fire.
