Aussie tennis legend Ash Barty has dropped a bombshell as she announced her return to the court at the upcoming Wimbledon championships.
Beloved Aussie tennis star Ash Barty is set to make a comeback to the court at Wimbledon more than two years after retiring from the sport.
"Reunited with the #Wimbledon grass. Delighted to have our 2021 singles champion @ashbarty returning for this year's Invitation Doubles." Some are still holding out belief it may lead to a potential comeback to playing the sport competitively, after Danish former no.1 Caroline Wozniacki returned to pro tennis following an appearance in the invitation doubles last year.
Barty has previously denied a desire to return to pro tennis or a move to golf despite playing at events occasionally.
