: North Houston drivers are asking why trains seem to always block the intersection of Rankin and East Hardy and what should they do? Edna Flores, a KPRC 2 loyal viewer, says she’s often half an hour late to work because she gets stuck at that intersection. What we found, is that usually when a train stops in its tracks it’s because the rail yards they are headed to aren’t ready for them. So, they stop where they are, and a lot of times block intersections and create massive delays.
So what do you do? How do you report this situation? According to City of Houston, last year there were a lot complaints from drivers blocked by trains at intersections on the east side.website.Once on the site, you’ll see a bunch of yellow icons indicating railroad crossings in our area and all over the country.
