Erica Hoy has been named as the sole victim of a five-vehicle crash in Adelaide's north-west that left three others hospitalised and one woman charged with several counts of dangerous driving.
The 26-year-old aspiring actress had been travelling with her twin sister and boyfriend in a red Toyota Prius when it was involved in a crash on the Port River Expressway in Gillman just before 9.35pm on Tuesday. Hoy died at the scene. Her sister and 29-year-old boyfriend were taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition."She was coming back from an acting course when it happened."An 18-year-old woman from Broadview, who was driving a Kia Cerato involved in the crash, was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Police searched the area and arrested a 38-year-old woman from Port Adelaide nearby.
She has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, three counts of causing serious harm by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to exchange details after an accident and resisting police.The Port River Expressway was closed in both directions between Eastern Parade and Hanson Road as police examined the scene.
