A fan of Assassin's Creed: Valhalla managed to craft an incredibly realistic rendition of the game's iconic Celtic Cross Shield from resin.
Fans of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed: Valhalla are sure to appreciate a recent fan build of one of the game's many reliable shields. This recreation is just the latest in a long line of impressive fan art for the popular 2020 action-adventure game, which is currently featuring an extended in-game Yule Festival.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla takes players to 870s Europe and puts them in the shoes of Eivor, a proud Viking warrior with aspirations of grandeur and conquest. The game follows the same formula as other modern Assassin's Creed games: players are set loose in a massive open world chock-full of activities and collectibles to experience, with a loot system similar to those found in many popular RPGs.
Like with many video game franchises, Assassin's Creed is rife with cosplay potential. The games' varied historical settings mixed with the more recent focus on mythology and mysticism have made way for a wide assortment of unique in-game outfits, items, and character designs. Since the games all take place in instantly recognizable periods of time, it's easy for fans to find props and accessories that represent both major and minor characters from the series.
This shield is just another example of just how alluring Assassin's Creed is to cosplayers. ForHonorProps's design might not offer the same protection as an actual Viking shield, but the inclusion of the grip, along with the meticulous attention to detail with its various markings, make it appear very authentic. One thing is for certain: there are surely plenty of gamers out there who would love to get their hands on a prop like this.
