After three years of keeping a low profile, Pendal’s small cap fund managers are ready to talk. An upgrade by rating house Zenith is an added inducement, as is the performance of investing duo Lewis Edgley and Patrick Teodorowski since they officially took over the small cap and micro-cap strategies in 2021.

They had big shoes to fill when the so-called “kings” of small caps, Paul Hannan and Noel Webster, retired after almost two decades running the Pendal Smaller Companies Fund. And it’s been hard graft – last year alone the team did 600 unique meetings and spent 100 days on the road around Australia, the US, the UK and South-East Asia.
