The S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 0.2 per cent to 6621.6. Woodside Energy fell 2.9 per cent to $30.10 and Qantas gained more than 4 per cent to $4.42.
Qantas Airways advanced on Wednesday after both of the key crude oil benchmarks fell below $US100 a barrel.
Boeing shares also rose 7.4 per cent in New York after the aircraft manufacturer reported better-than-expected, second-quarter deliveries. On the SP 500, American Airlines rallied 10 per cent, United Airlines 8.1 per cent, and Delta Air Lines 6.2 per cent.P/ASX 200 Index finished 0.2 per cent, or 15.3 points higher, at 6621.6; the All Ordinaries added 0.3 per cent to 6807.8.
KMD forecast sales for the full year ending July 31 between $995 million-$965 million and underlying earnings are expected between $88 million and $94 million. That compares with total sales for 2021 of $922.8 million and underlying EBITDA of $113.3 million.
