P 500 index closed 1 per cent higher on Wednesday in New York, closing at the highest levels of the session.
“Markets are certainly in holiday mode now, and that seems to be a good thing for risk assets, even if one ought not to infer too much from price action given that dynamic,” said Kyle Rodda, market analyst for IG, a broker.
