Australian shares are poised to open higher, as Wall Street advanced as the latest Federal Reserve meeting minutes met expectations for a faster pace of rate rises to combat persistently high inflation.On Wall St near 3pm: Dow +0.5% STesla +5.5% Apple +0.2% Amazon +2.8%The yield on the US 10-year note was 1 basis point lower to 2.74 per cent at 3pm in New York.
Twitter investors voted against re-electing an ally of Elon Musk to the board at an annual meeting that avoided the biggest question for the social media company: will it complete a $US44 billion sale to the billionaire. A survey showed German consumer morale is projected to inch up in June but warned of inflation crimping household spending. This follows data earlier this week that showed resilience in euro zone business growth amid a slowdown.
