Two Russian missiles struck a crowded shopping centre in the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk, killing at least ten people and wounding 20 more, according to senior Ukrainian officials.Casualties are expected to rise as rescuers sift through the rubble looking for survivorsRussia has previously denied claims that it deliberately targets civilian populations
A Reuters reporter saw the charred husk of a shopping complex with a caved-in roof. Firefighters and soldiers were pulling out mangled pieces of metal as they searched for survivors. Mr Zelenskyy says more than 1,000 people were in the shopping centre at the time of the attack. He gave no details of casualties but said, "It is impossible to even imagine the number of victims".
He said there was no military target nearby that Russia could have been aiming for and added: "It's an act of terrorism against civilians."
