At least two people have reportedly died -- and several remain unaccounted for -- after an explosion at a chocolate factory in West Reading, Pennsylvania late Friday afternoon.
These has been some discrepancy over just how many people have died or are still unaccounted for following the deadly explosion.indicated that five people had died and six remained unaccounted for. But, at a press conference Saturday morning, West Reading's mayor, Samantha Kaag, said"that is not accurate" -- though, she would not elaborate on why there might be a discrepancy.Sign up for NBC Philadelphia newsletters.
"Unfortunately, right now, it's a tragic event that we are still gathering information on," she said. As of about 10:30 a.m., officials in West Reading would only confirm that two people had dead, five were still missing and, one survivor had been pulled from debris on the the site overnight.Local
