Wide receiver Nick Mardner and cornerback J.D. Rhym are in line to miss their second consecutive game as they were not dressed for warmups in Berkeley before facing Cal. Mardner was on the field with Auburn wearing his jersey over a sweatshirt. He practiced in full with Auburn this week during a period open to media members. So too did Rhym.Austin Keys was the only player who was not seen during the Tuesday open practice session. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze confirmed Wednesday that Keys will be out for “a while” after getting thumb surgery.Keys did make the trip and was on the field before the game wearing a sling on his right arm.
Elsewhere, running back Jarquez Hunter, cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett, linebacker Jalen McLeod and safety Caleb Wooden all warmed up in pads after not playing last week.
