Traffic cops forced a motorist to sort his illegal tinted windows after clocking the car on the M6 in Lancashire.
The officers discovered the front windows of the white Audi had been tinted to allow just nine per cent of light into the car. The legal minimum is 70 per cent.The officers posted on Twitter: "Continuing the sunny theme today the driver of this Audi spotted by MN31 had tinted their windows to allow just 9% of light into the car - legal minimum is 70! Driver fined £50 and made to remove the tints before continuing. Remember - “safe and legal” if you please.
Vehicles first used on 1 April 1985 or later The front windscreen must let at least 75% of light through and the front side windows must let at least 70% of light through.
