In a boost for the struggling tourism industry Virgin Australia recorded 71,000 ticket sales on Thursday. However, despite the increase many remain hesitant to travel due to uncertainty on border closures if a coronavirus outbreak occurs. Accommodation bookings in Queensland were down 47 per cent over the Easter break compared to 2019.
