An Aussie customer was flabbergasted when he shelled out an epic $47 for breakfast at a cafe in the affluent inner Sydney suburb of Potts Point. TikTok star Mark, who often reviews breakfasts on his channel, shared a photo of the breakfast plate at Pina on Saturday, before doing a breakdown of the price of his meal. Mark was dining alongside a male pal, with the pair’s bill coming to a total of $140.
“50 bucks before coffee, crazy times, man.” Mark explained it wasn’t even the most expensive breakfast he had paid for all year and had previously shelled out $170 for another breakfast. But he did say he thought the breakfast was worth it. “The coffee was mint, breakfast was one of the best I’ve had all year,” he said. Cafe owner Andrew Hardjasudarma defended the price of the meal in comments to NewsCorp, saying it was because of the quality of the Wagyu steak and the other ingredients.
