A Melbourne couple have high hopes for the sale of their property as it has a unique feature that took them 10 years to erect. 7NEWS
Credit:The couple have a crashed plane, a Piper Warrior, on the top of the studio in the backyard and it’s even fitted with a smoke machine.
“It is a bit weird. Maybe I’m a bit weird, I don’t know. I just like things a little different,” Cam told 7NEWS.Credit:It took Cam 10 years to design the installation, purchase the Piper Warrior and have a crane lift it onto his studio. During the process, Cam said he was concerned he was going to receive a complaint about the plane when a neighbour came over.
But instead there was a remarkable coincidence, with his neighbour Marty revealing he had flown the exact aircraft from Essendon to Ballarat years earlier.The homeowners hope the plane will make the bidding at the March auction take off. “They’re going to walk through and think: ‘We’ve been to a lot of open for inspections, but hey, we’ve never been to one with a plane’,” Sam said.
