Australian Olympic champion Kyle Chalmers and his Norwegian swimmer fiancee Ingeborg Loyning have announced they are expecting their first child. Chalmers, 26, and Loyning, 24, have been together since 2022 and celebrated their engagement just before last year’s Paris Olympics . This week’s pregnancy announcement came complete with ultrasound photos, matching ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ hats — and a gender reveal.
” Dutch gold medallist Ranomi Kromowidjojo joked about a baby boom in swimming. She gave birth to her first child last month, while Italian icon Federica Pellegrini welcomed hers last year and Swedish great Sarah Sjostrom is currently pregnant. “This might gonna be a sick Olympic final some day,” Kromowidjojo said on Chalmers’ post. World Aquatics replied: “We can’t wait for 2044 then.” Chalmers and Loyning became an item in 2022 and she later moved to Adelaide to train.
