A Queensland shop owner has escaped with cuts and bruises after clinging to the bonnet of a stolen car, in a bid to stop the driver from stealing petrol. 7NEWS
The footage shows him - in apparent anticipation of an impending crime - standing in front of the car after one of the occupants fills it up with petrol and gets inside.Clint Weber was hit by the car as it left the Toowoomba petrol station.He is then seen still clinging to the car as it drives out on to the street and away from the business.
In a post on the business’s Facebook page, it was reported “true Aussie bloke” Weber is on the mend from “sore ribs, cuts and bruises”.“Thank you everyone for your concern about how Clint is,” the post read.They have not caught the occupants and are calling for anyone with information to come forward.If you’d like to view this content, please adjust your
