An Australian pub has apologised after it came under fire for an ill-judged tribute to late Friends star Matthew Perry.
The Unley in Adelaide named its cocktail of the month in honour of the actor, who was found dead at his Los Angeles home last week.
“The cocktail was intended as a tribute to a beloved actor and icon, however we recognize that this was an error in judgement, and have removed the cocktail,” The Unley said in a statement to The Advertiser.Perry had shared intimate details of his life-long struggle with addition in his revealing memoir Friends, Lovers and The Big Terrible Thing.
“There is so much to say, but right now we're going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.
