Beau Brooks is jogging when he answers the phone to talk about his rise to fame and his now far more ordinary life as a factory worker.
A former Aussie star who rubbed shoulders with the likes of Kylie Jenner and Ariana Grande has revealed his very normal life now and his ordinary day job. , 30, was part of the now-defunct YouTube comedy group turned boy band, The Janoskians, which consisted of him, his two brothers Luke and Jai and their mates Daniel Sahyounie and James Yammouni.
Beau doesn’t have the answers for exactly why it all ended, but he said that mixing family, friends, and business is hard, and ultimately, “everyone went their separate ways”. The former prankster/singer sees that as a big win; he is currently a year sober after battling an addiction to drugs, and said that positive reinforcement helps.
“I kind of fell into binge addiction because coming home to Australia, everyone wanted to party with me,” he said. It took him a while to get clean and sort himself out.
