Aussie startup helps our lobsters find their way to Chinese hotels without wet markets | TheMattBungard
An Australian startup is working with many of Shanghai's top hotels to ensure future shipments of lobster travel directly from Australia to their final destination without stopping at markets.
The startup, called Two Hands, has been working as a go-between for Australian fisherman and farmers, and overseas restaurants.“When I talked to chefs in Shanghai, they were hungry for a transparent connection back to their producers, as they couldn’t trust the ingredients entering their kitchen," said the company's founder Greg McLardie.
“If we have another pandemic like this in a few years, society goes from being on its knees to being on its back": Greg McLardie.
