Zac Whiting shook hands with his victim as he was released from custody and said he was "very sorry" for hitting the local man.at Kuta Burger King last week.
He spent eight days in custody after the incident and had previously said he let everyone down and felt "disgust by his behaviour" and finding himself behind bars was "self inflicted".
