UFC: UFC middleweight champ Dricus du Plessis says Australia's Robert Whittaker is the man most deserving to face him next, but has been 'done over' by the company.

Both fights form part of a huge finish to the year for Australian combat sports, with boxing poster boy Tim Tszyu also throwing down in the US this October against IBF super welterweight champ Bakhram Murtazaliev. Whittaker and Opetaia have sparred previously, albeit several years ago and before the latter had become a world champion. While UFC boss Dana White has already suggested American Sean Strickland deserves next shot at the crown, du Plessis told media after the win in Western Australia that the honour should already be going to Whittaker.“Obviously the two are using different tactics for the same goal – Sean is waiting while Rob is getting out there and beating everyone who gets put in front of him.
