An Aussie rock act has booked their grand final spot in the world's largest live music event after a stunning performance in the second semi-final.
The Perth-based band on Friday morning became the seventh Australian act to advance to the final show since it was first invited to participate back in 2015.
Australia will be facing off against the likes of Sweden, Finland, Norway, France and several other notoriously tough to beat European nations in Saturday’s event, with a total of 26 countries to compete in the final. Estrin told the Australian Associated Press the band felt no pressure to take home the trophy this year and were looking forward to having a “good time” this year.
The agreement under which Australia competes in the European-based competition expires this year and must be renewed before the 2024 song contest, which has not been guaranteed yet.
