Green has failed to recover from his fractured finger in time for the series opener against India.
"I don't think he's even faced fast bowlers yet. So I dare say he won't be playing but who knows. I'm not entirely sure. We'll wait and see.Green's all-round abilities allow Australia's full-strength line-up to be well-balanced, with his potential absence leaving selectors with a big headache. Matt Renshaw replaced Green in Australia's middle order for the New Year's Test against South Africa, but Peter Handscomb is also in the frame.

Australia’s largest ‘domestic inflation’ factor comes from wage growthKPMG Chief Economist Brendan Rynne says “60 per cent” of Australia's inflation comes from domestic factors with the “largest one” being wage growth. “If you think about where inflation was coming from, about 40 per cent of our domestic inflation comes from tradeable inflation, as in, we get it from overseas,” Mr Rynne told Commentator Steve Price. “What you also recognise is about 60 per cent of our inflation comes from domestic factors and the single largest one of those is wages, and what we’re now starting to see is wages growth finding its way through in final prices in Australia.”
