Industry and Science Minister Ed Husic will announce the investment on Wednesday, revealing that the commonwealth fund will acquire an equity stake in Arafura's planned facility located 135 kilometers north of Alice Springs. The project has garnered attention and support due to its potential to create jobs and stimulate economic activity in the region. Estimates suggest that the mine will generate approximately 600 positions during the construction phase and sustain 350 jobs once operational.
