NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has labelled revelations he offered a trade role to a cabinet minister untrue and offensive.as a sweetener for dumping him from cabinet and, on another occasion, spoke to him about the agent-general position in London.Speaking to 2GB’s Ben Fordham this morning, Perrottet said the allegations were “completely false and offensive”, but that the pair did discuss “a number of roles which he could play within the parliament to serve the people of NSW” after politics.
“It’s disappointing to see private conversations in terms of where I would make appointments ending up [in] the paper.” As regular readers of this blog will know, new coal and gas projects have been in the spotlight recently, given the Albanese government has been locked in negotiations with the Greens and teal independents over its signature climate legislation.Well, we are still in the 10-day consultation before the decision is finalised, so I have to be careful what I say.
